NYC Health + Hospitals is the largest public health care system in the United States, providing essential inpatient, outpatient, and home-based services to more than one million New Yorkers every year in more than 70 locations across the city’s five boroughs.

A full range of child neurology and pediatric epilepsy services are available, many of them primarily at Bellevue Hospital Center.  

The child neurology clinics at Bellevue are staffed by numerous board-certified child neurologists including multiple board-certified epilepsy specialists.  

Neurodiagnostic services offered include:

• EMGs and nerve conduction studies (both outpatient and inpatient)
• Neonatal hypothermia (neuroprotection) with continuous EEG monitoring (inpatient)
• Standard and sleep-deprived routine EEGs (both outpatient and inpatient)
• Prolonged ambulatory EEG monitoring (outpatient)
• Video EEG monitoring (inpatient)

Patients can be referred from Bellevue's outpatient clinics, the inpatient child neurology consultation service, and by outside referral electively (or more urgently via direct transfer).
